The original plan for Buffalo Bay was to install a series of surfboards painted by local artists to create a “boardwalk”.
As news of the project reached Buffs locals, they sprang into action and the project snowballed with Buffs receiving a creative make over.
Tired old benches and 5 cement braais were repaired and revamped. A “Blitz” team of ladies with mosaic tiles and endless enthusiasm brightened the braais and benches, true community spirit. Each of the braais now has a unique character, thanks to this dynamic team of ladies! Painted surfboards were fixed to the backs of the benches. A giant wave mural painted on the ablutions block by local cartoonist Pieter Kruger.
The rail bridge on the road to Buffs is also being refreshed.
